Panels were cut, torn, and layered until linear comic sequence collapsed into a single compressed field.

A central shield and speech fragment anchor the composition while diagonal strips drive impact and fracture across the page.

In source context, the line reads as dialogue. In the collage, it behaves as verdict:

“I know. And it cost us dearly.”

The object preserves torn edges, overlap shadows, and visible seams as evidence of assembly.
