Finished yesterday.
A Frankenstein comic, cut into narrow vertical strips and reassembled.
The original sequence is gone. Panels no longer proceed. Bodies, chains, lightning, speech, landscape, and machinery have been pulled through one another until the page behaves more like a field than a story.
But the charge remains.
Black interrupts green. White cuts through both. The strips become bars, stitches, scan lines, and pieces of a machine that may be holding the image together or keeping it contained.
The monster is no longer only a figure inside the source material.
It becomes the construction method.
Something assembled from pieces. Something made alive by interruption. Something whose previous bodies remain visible inside the new one.
